day at the lake

Today we drove to Loveland to say goodbye to one of my really good friends because she and her family are moving to Germany. Allyson and I met in one of my Spanish classes at CSU and have been friends ever since. Spending the day at Lake Loveland was a dream! The view was gorgeous and so was the water. The lake was really full this year because of all the rain we've had. This was J and N's first time in a lake and they had so much fun. We ate a yummy lunch of kraut burgers from Runza and then spent the afternoon riding in the boat, water skiing, tubing, and playing at the edge of the lake. Thanks guys for such a great day. We hope you have a wonderful adventure and can't wait until the next time we see you!

awakening

I have felt an awakening within me this past year. The artist in me is developing and I am learning more and more about myself. I have always loved photography and now more than ever before I am wanting to pursue this passion. I have decided to follow my heart and just start shooting.

My friend Ann and I met when we were 4 and have been friends ever since. She lived 2 doors away from me growing up and we went to elementary, middle, and high school together. We were even roommates in college at CU. Needless to say, we have a very long history together. Now we are raising families together. It's pretty cool, really.

I was thrilled and honored when she asked if I would take some shots of her daughter Libby and some family pictures. What a great looking family and I really loved all the red accents. Libby is irrisitible and I really do think she looks like you Ann! Thanks for a fun evening guys!

Traffic Jam

Thomas Trains have taken a backseat lately to matchbox cars, although not forgotten! The boys love to make lines with their cars, to make them go and stop, to drive and park them. They have also have created some very interesting garages for them. Those poor people having to wait in those lines! These might be the last pics of our vintage fir floors. New floors coming later this summer!
