Earlier this spring, I photographed the arrival of this sweet baby boy and was delighted for the opportunity to take some 5 month old shots as well some family photos with big brother.  

We met at Daniel's Park for a great summer evening and  had lots of fun following this adventurous 2 year old around.  I just love the curiousness and independence that this age brings.  We climbed rocks, found some great overlooks of the mountains, ran through the meadow and pulled 2 adorable boys in the little red wagon.  Aren't the baby blues amazing?  Enjoy this gorgeous family!

Happy Birthday Samuel!

My brother James and his wife Sara just welcomed their 1st baby Samuel James into the world tonight and I couldn't be a more proud auntie.  What a joy and blessing to meet my first nephew on my side of the family and to watch James and Sara enter this new phase of life.  I took these just an hour after his birth.  More to come!

tulips

I so love seeing tulips sprouting up around our neighborhood. Their bright color proclaim spring's arrival in an otherwise brown and colorless landscape. When I was young, my mom would take us to the Tulip Festival in Holland MI and I remember seeing fields and fields of these beautiful flowers. Breathtaking. They remind me of my Dutch heritage and those times spent at the Tulip Festival with my wooden shoes and windmills in fields of tulips. I picked these from our yard and loved the way the sun was making them glow.

Union Station

Spring Break.....ahhhh! Rest from our hectic schedule and great family time. I had been wanting to take the boys to Union Station so they could see the old train station. They still are in love with their trains and my dad bought them these Thomas hats which they think are so cool. We went for a late breakfast at Snooze which I am claiming has the best pancakes in Denver and then we headed to the train station. They boys were pretty disappointed that there were no trains coming through, though gum balls made our visit worthwhile!

There really is nothing like a brand new baby....so sweet, tiny, and innocent. I felt really honored to be able to share in such a special time with this couple. They were so at ease in front of the camera and Baby Bryce was only 1 day old when these pictures were taken. What a great looking family! Congratulations on your new addition guys! He is precious!
