ducklings
The third graders at my school raised baby ducklings starting from the egg stage. What an exciting process to watch. Oh my goodness, are these not the cutest little things you've ever seen? They are so soft and fluffy. The best part was watching them all waddle down the hallway slipping and sliding all over the place. J and N came for a visit today to see these precious little ones.

letting go
Someone once told me that raising children is a constant process of letting go...of letting them become more and more independent. This is yet another step in letting go. The boys have been so attatched to their pacifiers and this was a hard step to give them up. We decided to send them on balloons to Paris for babies who needed them. What we didn't realize is that the paci weighed the balloon down too much for the balloon to fly away. We had to secretly cut it before they released it. The Paci fairy came for 3 nights and left little treats under the boys pillows to help with this big transition too.

grateful
It has been a long ride, but the worrying is over and our hearts and minds are at peace. Matt's surgery went well and he is recovering. I was so relieved when his doctor came into the waiting room and told me that there was no cancer. It is amazing how much your mind can wander and worry about the unknown, but we had to trust the Lord and take it step by step. We were unsure of what the outcome would be going into this, but I am so grateful for my sweet husband and his health. Through all of this, I am reminded that life is short and there are no guarantees. Although it is so easy to forget in the midst of daily life, we must love fully and not take for granted the gifts we have been given.

Zoo Day
We went to the zoo today with T and another set of twins. The weather has been so nice lately, that I thought it would be a great day for the zoo. However, the boys were not in the best of moods and I had a hard time keeping track of both of them going in opposite directions. This is where the twin thing gets tricky when I'm outnumbered! I did get some interesting shots though, and am happy to post them.

mix-n-match
One of the perks of being a twin is mixing and matching your jammies. They love to wear the tops of one set and the bottoms of the other. This way no one gets left out!
Hugs before bed
This picture amazes me. N looks JUST like me at this same age. Crazy!
