National Western

I absolutely love the stock show. It takes me back to my ranch days. This was the boy's first time to visit and we just took them to see the sights, but didn't watch a rodeo. They were so excited to be able to get up close to the animals and feeding and petting them. N kept wanting to put straw on their backs or to feed them, but they weren't very hungry as you can imagine! Next year I think we'll be ready for the big rodeo and I can't wait.

olives

How to eat an olive:
1. Make sure it fits on your finger

2. Twist it around and around and around! 3. Pop it in our mouth
4. Savor the yummy green goodness!

Christmas Eve

Celebrating Christmas eve with Matt's family and his Uncle Loren was great fun. Matt's mom made a yummy tortellini soup and we brought our traditional tamales (interesting combo!) The cousins made some cute and colorful Christmas cookies to go with the amazing shortbread. Everyone also got to open one gift. The boys were thrilled to open their first Thomas the Tank Engine trains. I am loving being able to pass these traditions on to our boys.

tree hunting

I remember going as a family when I was young to cut down a Christmas tree in the mountains. I thought this would be a great tradition to continue with our boys so we went tree hunting with Grandma and Boppa. We found a Charlie Brown Christmas tree that graced our house for Christmas. I have to admit the experience was much greater than the tree we found!

Sarrah

One of my dear friends and college roommate was in town interviewing for jobs for next year. She is just finishing her residency in Providence RI and will be back to CO soon! We can't wait! Sarrah, we are so proud of you! Can't wait to see you and Providence soon!

Jumping Beans

Our new favorite snowy day activity: piling all the couch cushions up and jumping off. They could do this for hours! You have to get a bit creative when they are cooped up inside all day!
