The Sauls

So this shoot was a little crazy. I'm guessing you can tell why if you look at the last photo in this set. Marcy and I tried to find the perfect time to get the color and light since fall was so fleeting this year. I had 2 little people tagging behind me and needless to say, it was a bit hard to focus (my lens as well as my mind!) J managed to get himself wet in the creek! I will not be doing that again any time soon! Anyhow, I absolutely love several of these. Thanks for your patience with us Sauls!

Kelly and Norah

Welcome Baby Norah! Norah made her debut a couple weeks earlier than expected and my friend Kelly has jumped right into motherhood. She is truly a woman of grace and beauty. David, her husband has been serving with the Air Force in Iraq for a good part of her pregnancy. Thank you both for your sacrifice and dedication to our country. It was an honor to photograph these first days of life. I figured we'd get lots of sleeping shots, but Norah did not want to miss out on the action. Isn't she precious?

David, a couple of these shots are for you. Hope you like them! Kelly, I so enjoyed spending time with you and your new little member of the family! Congratulations guys!

a trip to jenny's

So many of my memories from growing up are in Winter Park. My parents had a condo there for years and we used to spend many weekends and parts of summers there. We would typically stop at this quirky little restaurant with tasty homemade food, called Jenny's, on the way up to or down from the mountains. We spent our Sunday eating at Jenny's and then venturing into Winter Park to see if our condo is still standing. Sure enough, it is! On our way home, we stopped in Idaho Springs to get some pics of the very little fall color left. I have driven by the Charlie Tayler Water Wheel many times, but never walked along the river there. This wheel used to power his gold stamping business. Pretty cool! Such a nostalgic day for me.

Erica and Bryan

I LOVE the theme of these photos......bridges. When Bryan suggested we shoot on the bridges downtown, I had no idea how perfect the metaphor would be. Erica and Bryan are crossing the bridge from being married to now having children.

These two were so easy to be around and are going to make wonderful parents. Isn't her belly beautiful? I cannot wait to meet your sweet baby girl!
