watering can

Oh how I love this boy! The boys went to Home Depot today and surprised me with a new watering can which I have been desperately needing for my garden. Matt, N, and I went out to do a few things in the garden and I realized J was not with us. Just as I was going back in the house to see what he was up to, he came down the back steps with the watering can filled a little over half full. He didn't even spill a drop on the floor. I asked him how he did it and this is what he showed me. He was so excited to figure out how to get water into our new watering can all by himself. How clever and fearless he is.

the bell school

The boys started pre-school today. I can hardly believe it. I don't know where this summer went. We weren't sure if both boys were going to be able to start. J has worked all summer on potty training. N wasn't really all that interested. However, when I told him that he wasn't going to be able to start school until he was potty trained, that was all the motivation he needed. The next day he woke up and did it and hasn't looked back. I am so proud of them for mastering that huge milestone. Hooray, we are oficially out of diapers! The boys have named their school "the bell school" as you can tell from the picture below.

In honor of turning 3 and starting 1st grade, some photos were in order for these two handsome brothers. I was super excited for the opportunity. We had lots of fun frolicking in the fountain, climbing trees, and getting ice cream. I have watched these two grow up and can't believe how big they are. They are great playmates and friends as these pictures show. Can't wait to do some family shots in the fall!
